Producer Information

Established in South Africa’s Hemel-en-Aarde valley in 1989 by Burgundian winemaker Paul Bouchard and local winemaker Peter Finlayson. One of South Africa’s coolest wine-growing regions, due to the prevailing winds from the cool Atlantic Ocean. Bouchard Finlayson’s mission is to produce the premium Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing South African wine on a global stage.

Various clonal material also plays a role, but the classic Dijon 113, 115, 667 and 777 are predominant. Each vineyard plot is vinified separately, with emphasis placed on accentuating its distinctive characteristics.
